Jason Tassinari - Coaching Tennis and Refereeing Community Soccer

Jason Tassinari is a special education teacher and varsity girls tennis coach at Wayland High School in Massachusetts. He attained distinction in 2024 as Dual County League Coach of the Year. Jason Tassinari has also coached men and women’s soccer teams across New England, including at Wheaton College and Bridgewater State University.

Mr. Tassinari previously engaged with the Plymouth Sports Dome, Jungleplex, and Sports Complex as general manager, athletic director, and referee coordinator. Tasked with scheduling tournaments and league games, he also organized summer camps and handled payroll for the entire staff. He continues to referee youth and adult indoor soccer at the Bridgewater Sports Complex and has officiated more than 10,000 games over three decades.

Prior to taking his present position, Mr. Tassinari spent 3 years with Bristol Community College as women's soccer coach and interim athletic director. Recognized as coach of the year in 2022, when the team made it to a national tournament, he spearheaded recruiting efforts across the full range of athletic programs. He provided coaches with assistance in recruiting outreach that connected with high school athletic directors. Passionate about Boston sports, Mr. Tassinari has a comprehensive collection of Red Sox uniform jerseys dating back to 1975.
